Nigeria’s Flamingos thrashed their hosts Guinea 5-0 in the first leg of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup second round qualifying fixture in Abidjan on Saturday.

Captain Harmony Chidi bagged a hat-trick for the Flamingos in the game.

Akeem Busari’s side got off to a perfect start with with Chidi scoring the curtain in the first minute.

The forward doubled Nigeria’s lead  on 13 minutes.

Oluwakemi Adegbuyi netted the Flamingos third in the 37th minute, before Chidi completed her hat-trick five minutes before the break.

The visitors scored one more goal through Mary Dunstan in the 56th minute to make it 5-0.

The reverse fixture will hold at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne next week Saturday.
