Bayern Munich manager, Vincent Kompany, has insisted Real Madrid are the Champions League’s best team in history.
The two European heavyweights will clash in one of the quarter-final fixtures next month.
Madrid sent Manchester City packing in the Round of 16, while Bayern outclassed Atalanta with a 10-2 aggregate.
After the match, Kompany spoke ahead of the clash with Los Blancos, paying homage to their rich history in the competition.
“Who do you think is the favorite between Bayern and Real Madrid? I don’t know. I don’t want to say that in a press conference,” Kompany said.
“It’s up to you to decide. Both teams have a lot of talent.
“Real Madrid is the best team in the history of the Champions League, so it will be a tough challenge for us. We want to win.”
