UCL Final: ‘Even if he’s half-fit’ – Merson names player Arteta must play against PSG

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, wants manager, Mikel Arteta to recall injury-doubt Jurrien Timber for the Gunners’ Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, even if he’s half-fit.

Arsenal and PSG will battle in the Champions League final in Budapest on Saturday.

Timber had missed the last two months of the season with a groin injury.

The 24-year-old Dutchman will now hope to be fit on time to play against Luis Enrique’s side in the Champions League final

“I think Jurrien Timber has to play,” Merson said on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast. “There’s talk that he will be fit.

“He’s got to play, even if he’s half-fit. I would take a chance on him because he has to play in that game.”
