Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick has named the English Premier League, EPL, as the best football league in the world.
Flick spoke during his pre-match press conference ahead of Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against Newcastle United on Tuesday night.
He also emphasized the EPL’s financial power, suggesting it greatly influences the sport.
“The Premier League is the best league in the world,” Flick stated.
“It is incredible because they have a lot of money and can make decisions. We [the LaLiga] are as strong as they are, and we [Barcelona] have to play with our philosophy against Newcastle and show it to the world.”
The Champions League match between Newcastle and Barcelona is set to kick off at 9 pm at St. James’ Park.
