Ten people have been rescued from the rubble of the three-storey building that collapsed in the Alakija area of Lagos state today June 25. The rescued victims had varying degrees of injuries. According to the General Manager of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margeret Adeseye, the collapsed building is a residential structure located at Old Ojo Road, by Alakija Bus Stop, off the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Satellite Town, Lagos.The incident involves the collapse of a storey building, an existing residential structure occupied by multiple residents at the time of the incident. As of the time of this report, 10 persons have been rescued alive with varying degrees of injuries and have been handed over to medical personnel for necessary treatment, he said LEmergency responders at the scene of the incident include the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service,  Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Navy, Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC), and the Nigerian Red Cross Society. The post Update: 10 rescued from Lagos building collapse appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
