The first Champions League club to submit a bid for Victor Osimhen has been revealed in the latest transfer update.
The race to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is heating up, with Turkish giants Galatasaray submitting an official offer to Napoli making the Turkish Super Lig champions the first European side to submit a bid for the forward making the probability of him returning to Champions League football very high.
According to reports, Galatasaray have tabled a bid estimated to be worth €50 million plus €5 million in add-ons, in a bid to complete the transfer for Osimhen in the 2025 summer window though the offer currently falls short of Napoli’s valuation.
Napoli, who previously set a €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract, are reportedly holding out for a higher fee and are yet to respond favorably to the initial proposal.
However, the Turkish champions are said to be optimistic about their chances and are prepared to return with an improved bid.
Crucially, Osimhen is understood to be open to a return to Galatasaray, where he previously spent time in Turkey as it was added that the Nigerian international has reached an agreement on personal terms witb the club.
The player's interest in the move could play a key role in ongoing negotiations, although the final outcome will depend on both clubs reaching an agreement on the transfer fee and structure of the deal.
Meanwhile, Al Hilal remain active in the pursuit of the 26-year-old, with the Saudi Pro League club reportedly prepared to trigger the €75 million release clause.
As discussions continue, the striker's future remains uncertain, but with two major clubs in pursuit and Osimhen reportedly eager for a new challenge, a transfer could be finalized in the coming weeks.
