Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu, believes his team will keep improving in the build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The African champions defeated Senegal 2-1 in an international friendly at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne on Friday.

Asisat Oshoala and Toni Payne were on target for the Super Falcons in the game.

The Super Falcons will face Senegal in another friendly at the same venue on Monday.

Madugu said the focus is on getting his team ready for WAFCON 2026.

“This is a preparatory game, and the aim is to assess our readiness, test the strategies we want to execute in the competition, and give players the opportunity to showcase what they can do to provide us with more options with the players,” Madugu told official54fx.
