US President Donald Trump has said that he thinks the new Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, is alive but damaged.

Trump made this statement on Thursday in an interview on Fox News

Iranians have not seen the new Supreme Leader since his emergence on Sunday by a clerical assembly.

His first comments were on Thursday read out by a television presenter.

Reacting, Trump said, “I think he probably is (alive). I think he is damaged, but I think he’s probably alive in some form, ‌you know.”

DAILY POST had reported that in his first comment, Khamenei vowed to keep the Strait of Hormuz shut and called on neighboring countries to close US bases on their territory or risk Iran targeting them.

He also vowed to revenge the death of his father, his wife and other relatives lost in the course of the war.

Recall that the US and Israel began attacks on Iran on February 28, with the Islamic Republic responding with its own strikes on Israel and Gulf countries with US bases.
