Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, on Thursday hosted delegates to the national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Rivers State, at his residence in Abuja.
Those present at the meeting included the newly returned APC National Vice Chairman (South-South), Victor Giadom, senators, members of the House of Representatives and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Some other leaders of the APC in Rivers State were equally in attendance.

The meeting comes just ahead of the party’s national convention slated to hold on Friday and Saturday in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Wike, though not a registered member of the APC has continued to campaign for the ruling party, even as he throws his weight around in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which he belongs.
His actions within the PDP has continued to aggravate the crisis within the main opposition party weakening it’s chances in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
