Three family members of suspected Bomo Haram  terrorists have surrendered to troops of 192 Battalion (Motorised) under Operation HADIN KAI along the GwozaLimankara road in Borno State. The individuals Fadimatu Ibrahim, 30; and her children, Abubakar Kumude, 12; and Ummi Ibrahim, 2, surrendered to troops while on picket duty at about 11:55 a.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026. According to the security sources, preliminary investigations indicated that the trio escaped from the Kimbe terrorist enclave located within the Mandara Mountains in Gwoza Local Government Area. The escapees cited sustained military pressure and lack of basic necessities within the enclave as reasons for fleeing. Preliminary findings suggest they fled due to sustained pressure on the terrorists hideouts and severe hardship within the camp, the sources said. They added that the surrendered individuals were properly screened, documented and placed under the custody of the battalion for further processing in line with established procedures.  The post Woman and her two children escape from terrorist enclave in Borno appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
