Woman di£s by su!cide after her 11-month-old child drowned in bucket of water

A 29-year-old woman committed su!cide shortly after her 11-month-old son accidentally drowned in a bucket of water at their home in Bengaluru, India. The incident took place on Wednesday, April 1. Pratibha, a software professional, was at home with her child while her husband, Mahantesh, was at work. At one point, Pratibha went to the terrace to collect her dry clothes. During this time, the child, identified as Agastya, is believed to have crawled into the washing area and accidentally fell into a bucket filled with water. When Pratibha returned, she found her child de@d in the bucket. Unable to handle her child's de@th, Pratibha slit her wrist, consumed a few pills, and hanged herself to dath, officials said. Later that evening, around 6:30 pm, when Mahantesh returned home, he found the door locked from the inside.
