The member representing Obingwa/Osisioma/ Ugwunagbo Federal constituency of Abia State, Alozie Munachim was on Thursday, booed at Obingwa while addressing members of his constituency at a political event.
Alozie, who picked up a microphone to address the large crowd at the political event, was loudly booed by youths who alleged that the National Assembly member recorded low performance in his representation.
The youths interrupted every word being uttered by the lawmaker, as they repeatedly shouted “Dede lotuo, igaghi aga ozo, nke igara aga, adighi ihe anyi huru”. (Senior, please step down, you won’t go again, we are not feeling any good impact of the one you are currently representing).
Despite the efforts made by Alozie to explain to his constituents about his achievements, the crowd maintained their stance.
However, supporters of the federal lawmaker have described the action of the youths as violent and embarrassing.
A member of Munachim Alozie support group, Kenneth Nzube said:
“The behavior of the youths was provocative and could have sparked off violence but I am happy that Honourable Alozie maintained his usual peaceful character.”
