The Zamfara State House of Assembly has dismissed the Commandant General of the Zamfara State Road Traffic Agency, ZAROTA, Muhammad Bello Musa, popularly known as Kwata Kwata.
Speaker of the House, Hon. Bilyaminu Isma’il Moriki, announced the decision following a prolonged debate and a thorough investigation by the House committee.
“Based on the investigation conducted by the House committee, the allegations were found to be true, and the House unanimously agreed to sack the Commandant General of ZAROTA, Musa Kwata Kwata,” the Speaker said.
The Assembly also directed the immediate handover of duties to the senior officer in the agency pending the appointment of a new Commandant by Governor Dauda Lawal.
Kwata Kwata was accused of diverting over N10 million from the agency’s Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, prompting the House’s decisive action.
