All eight teams that have qualified for this year’s 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, AFCON quarter-final stage in Egypt, have now been confirmed.
This follows the conclusion of Friday’s group stage fixtures.
Recall that Egypt defeated Tanzania 1–0, while South Africa played a 1–1 draw with Zambia.
The results mean both Egypt and South Africa progress to the quarter-finals.
The two teams join the other six sides who had already secured qualification for the last eight.
The six teams are Nigeria, Senegal, Morocco, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and DR Congo.
The 2025 Africa U-20 quarter-finals will commence on Monday.
