
Galatasaray have paid tribute to their player Victor Osimhen for leading Nigeria to victory against Rwanda in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday.
Osimhen’s brace ensured the Super Eagles won 2-0 against Rwanda in Kigali on Friday evening.
The 26-year-old opened the scoring for Eric Chelle’s side in the 11 minutes following a free-kick from Ademola Lookman.
Osimhen then doubled Nigeria’s lead before half-time at the Amahoro Stadium.
Reacting, Galatasaray, in a tweet via their X account congratulated Osimhen.
“Congratulations to our player Victor Osimhen who scored 2 goals against Rwanda in Group C of the 2026 World Cup CAF Qualifiers, leading his country Nigeria to victory! Congratulations, @victorosimhen9,” the Turkish club posted wrote.
Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Serie A side Napoli.
The Nigeria international is expected to leave Galatasaray at the end of the season.
