The All Progressives Congress, APC, reconciliation committee chaired by Senator, Mohammed Mana, in Adamawa State has submitted a formal unity report.
In a statement issued in Kaduna on Friday, Mustapha Salihu stated that the party has taken a significant step toward internal reconciliation and electoral preparedness.
The panel’s efforts were part of a broader peace initiative supported by the National Security Adviser, NSA, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and the party’s North East Zonal Vice Chairman, Mustapha Salihu, with their roles widely credited for the success of the dialogue and reconciliation process.
The committee was tasked with resolving internal conflicts within the party, following consultations with key political stakeholders in Adamawa.
Comrade Salihu played a key role in facilitating the committee’s work, offering organizational guidance and political leadership that contributed to the timely delivery of the report, the statement said.
Salihu described the outcome as a turning point for the APC in the state, emphasizing that the reconciliation effort was a product of inclusive dialogue and collective commitment to party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, “This report is the result of honest engagement and shared purpose. I commend everyone who contributed, especially our National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for his steadfast support.”
He explained that the reconciliation is not merely about ending disputes but about rebuilding trust and laying the groundwork for the party’s future success, stressing that in a show of support, the Adamawa APC Unity Forum, led by Abubakar Hamma, praised both Ribadu and Salihu for their leadership, describing their involvement as critical to the committee’s credibility and success.
The Coalition of APC Youths Forum in Adamawa, led by Khalil Sajo, according to the statement, expressed optimism about the party’s future, saying that the APC is now more united and strategically positioned for electoral victory in 2027.
He said the reconciliation gives them a strong foundation and thanked the leaders, assuring that they can now focus on winning future elections in the state rather than internal battles.
