Chioma Blessing Nwaka, a 37-year-old woman who was brutally m8rdered by her husband was laid to rest in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State amidst grief and anguish.   Chioma was set ablaze by her husband, Obiozor Nwaka over alleged infidelity on January 21, 2025 at Eziezekwe village.  The mother of five d!ed the following day at a hospital as a result of the burns she sustained during the incident.   Chioma's d3ath in the horrific act of domestic violence has drawn widespread condemnation, with the general public, family members, human rights activists and civil society groups calling for justice.   Her body arrived at her fathers compound in Irefi Oraifite, Ekwusigo LGA for a brief stopover before being conveyed to Abagana for final burial on Friday, June 27.   Family, friends and sympathizers gathered in mournful silence to pay their final respects to a woman described as a hardworking, kind-hearted, devoted wife and mother.   Speaking at the burial, Sir Vin Dike, the President General of the Oraifite Improvement Union (OIU) the town of Mrs. Chiomas origin, issued a passionate plea for peace and justice.   He urged all grieving community members to remain calm and law-abiding while trusting the judicial system to do its work. "We are all deeply pained and outraged by the gruesome manner in which our daughter, Chioma, lost her life. While emotions are understandably high, I urge everyone to remain calm. We call on the judiciary to act swiftly and decisively.
