Bandits on Sunday night attacked Dinkawa village in Charanchi Local Government Area of Katsina State, abducting five people and rustling several cattle.
A security analyst, Bakatsine shared the incident in a post on X on Monday.
According to Bakatsine, the attack also affected movement along the Kano–Katsina road, as it was reportedly blocked after the Isha prayers.
“Yesterday night, bandits attacked Dinkawa village in Charanchi LGA, Katsina State, abducting five people and rustling several cattle. Insecurity around the Kankia axis is worsening, the Kano–Katsina road was reportedly blocked yesterday after Isha prayers,” he wrote
As at time of filing this report, authorities are yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
