Barcelona’s main player target this summer revealed

Following the failed move for Nico Williams, Barcelona's main transfer target of the 2025 summer window has been revealed.

According to reports, FC Barcelona have intensified their pursuit of Colombian winger Luis Díaz, with fresh reports indicating the club intends to make a new approach for the Liverpool forward in the coming weeks. This reports comes right after a failed move for Athletic club's Nico Williams.

Despite having two previous proposals rejected, the Catalan giants have not shifted focus and still consider Díaz their primary target to reinforce the left wing. According to Fabrizio Romano, Díaz himself is keen on the move, viewing Barcelona as a desirable next step in his career.

The 28-year-old has impressed consistently since joining Liverpool in January 2022, combining technical skill, pace, and attacking flair, qualities that fit well into Barça's tactical blueprint under manager Hansi Flick.

However, the path to securing Díaz’s signature remains far from straightforward. Liverpool have already turned down two approaches from Barcelona and are reportedly reluctant to part with one of their key attacking assets without a significant offer.

The Premier League champions still value Díaz highly, and any deal would require careful financial structuring, especially considering Barcelona’s ongoing financial constraints.Barcelona are expected to continue internal discussions before submitting an improved proposal.
