Social media space in Benue State has been thrown into chaos after the leak of several explicit videos featuring some young girls from the state.

There are claims that an adult film actor, Brisom Love, secretly entered Makurdi and offered young girls N4,000 to record private videos for his adult content platform.

The videos, which have since gone viral, include multiple clips of one particular girl, Bridget, who reportedly appeared in over ten videos with the actor.

This development has sparked intense online debate, with many calling for the immediate arrest of Brisom Love, for allegedly deceiving ‘naive’ Benue girls into participating in adult content creation.

Reacting, Hon Atu Terver, the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue State on Youth and Media Mobilization, in a post on his Facebook page, expressed frustration at the focus on the actor’s ethnicity, specifically his being Igbo.

He stated that the focus should be on whether any of the girls involved were minors or had been coerced.

He wrote, “If any of them were minors or had been raped, then we have a case. But if they’re consenting adults, even if it’s for N4,000, it’s their business. I don’t care to know.”

Terver also suggested that both the actor and the girls involved should be held accountable, calling the girls “partners in crime” who should face the same punishment as the actor.

“People like those loosed girls are the ones giving hardworking Benue ladies bad names. They are partners in crime and should be locked up to serve the same punishment, not just the guy,” he added.
