Sunderland came from behind to beat Sheffield United 2-1 in the Championship playoff final on Saturday.
The Black Cats began the game on the backfoot as Chris Wilder’s men imposed themselves at Wembley.
And it was Sheffield who took the lead following a sensational counter-attack. Tyrese Campbell finished off the move.
However, in the second half, Sunderland took the game by the scruff of the neck.
Eliezer Mayenda, who put in a fine display, levelled the game with a fine strike, before the departing Tom Watson sealed the win in added time.
Sunderland will now make their return to the Premier League for the first time since 2017.
They join Leeds United and Burnley as the teams that get promoted to the English topflight this season.
