Fluminense defender, Thiago Silva, could not stop the tears as they qualified for the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-finals.
The 40-year-old played for the entire duration of the match, as they defeated Inter Milan 2-0 on Monday.
Fluminense took the lead in the third minute of the game, when German Cano headed home a deflected cross.
Substitute Hercules then added a second goal late on, as the Brazilian side pulled off a historic victory.
Silva could be seen in tears after the match, before kissing his wife Isabele in the stands.
He later told DAZN: “I’m very proud with my team, with my team-mates.
“This game is like this, too hard to play against the Inter team, you know? They played the Champions League final a month ago.
“It is not easy to play like this.”
