The Chief Coach of Bendel Insurance FC of Benin, Monday Odigie has reportedly resigned from the Club over the poor performance of the team in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
DAILY POST reports that the resignation of the Insurance coach was contained in a notice shared on the official social media accounts of the club on Friday.
According to the notice, “ 13: We will be playing against Kwara Utd on Saturday without Coach Monday Odigie.
“He tendered his resignation letter after our 3-2 loss to Rangers on Sunday evening.
“We await Management’s final decision. Meanwhile, our Matday 13 is behind closed doors.
“Consequently, no fans are allowed into the stadium. This is in adherence to NPFL’s (Nigeria Premier Football League) directives,” the club said.
However, efforts to get confirmation from the club’s Media Officer, Kehinde Osagiede, were unsuccessful.
Also, calls to the coach Odigie were returned unanswered.
DAILY POST reported that the performance of the Insurance FC in the current NPFL campaign has not been impressive placing in the bottom of the table with nine points from 12 games.
