Barcelona boss, Hansi Flick has confirmed that goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczęsny smokes.
He however added that the Pole does it the way he (Flick) has never seen before.
Szczesny, a former Arsenal goalkeeper, joined Barcelona until the end of the season, just over a month after he retired.
The 34-year-old former Poland international announced his retirement on 27 August 2024 after his contract with Juventus was terminated.
This was after Barca lost first-choice goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen to a serious knee injury in their 5-1 win against Villarreal.
Szczęsny had on his own confirmed in a recent interview that he is helpless when it concerns smoking. He added that he smokes a lot, admitting he is not a role model to younger players.
Speaking ahead of Barcelona’s game against Real Madrid at the weekend, Flick said, “I’m happy with Szczesny, I’d like him to stay and I think he’s happy in Barcelona too!
“You know he smokes a little, which I’ve never seen before… but well, he’s at the right age and he’s calmer!”.
Before leaving Arsenal, Szczesny made 181 appearances for the Gunners after joining as a 16-year-old and also spent time at Brentford, Roma and Juventus.
He joined Juventus in 2017 and made 252 appearances across seven years in Turin, winning three Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia.
