The stage is set for the biggest Premier League match of this weekend as Manchester City hosts Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium after the international break.
The kick-off time for the match is 6.30 pm and will the last Premier League fixture for today (Saturday).
Both teams head to the game after losing their last Premier League matches against Brighton and Ipswich Town, respectively.
Man City were defeated 2-1 against Brighton while Spurs also loss with the same scoreline against Ipswich Town at home.
The last time both teams met was in the Carabao Cup in October.
Tottenham defeated Man City 2-1 in the Carabao Cup round of 16 clash.
Man City will endeavour to close the five-point gap to Premier League leaders Liverpool when they welcome Tottenham on Saturday evening.
Man City manager, Pep Guardiola, will also hope to avoid a fifth back-to-back defeats when they face Tottenham at home as both teams will be looking to get back on track after suffering 2-1 defeats against Brighton and Ipswich Town, respectively.
Recall that Man City loss all their last four matches in all competitions against Brighton, Sporting Lisbon, Bournemouth and Tottenham.
Guardiola’s side currently sit in second position with five points behind Liverpool after eleven games.
Guardiola has already confirmed at his pre-match press conference that Man City will be without Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Dias against Tottenham.
A victory against Tottenham will see Man City close the gap on Liverpool to two points ahead of the Reds’ clash with Southampton on Sunday.
Tottenham, on the other hand, will hope to avoid another consecutive defeats after losing against Ipswich Town before the November international break.
They currently sit in the 10th position on the Premier League table with 16 points after eleven matches.
Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou, will be without defenders Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven against Man City on Saturday evening.
Romero is still struggling with the injury he suffered in the 4-1 win over Aston Villa earlier this month.
Van de Ven, on his part, is back in training following a recent hamstring injury but will not be rushed back into action.
A win for Tottenham against City will see Postecoglou’s side move up from the 10th position on the log.
Recall that Tottenham have already beaten Man City this season in the Carabao Cup.
