Former Chelsea star, Jason Cundy, has asked manager, Enzo Maresca to drop Tyrique George on the bench for their Premier League last game of the season against Nottingham Forest.
He suggested midfielder, Cole Palmer should be used as a frontman in the all-important match.
Chelsea could finish in fourth position this season, an improvement to their sixth-place finish last season.
The Blues will secure a Champions League place by beating Forest in their backyard on Sunday while the homeside also has a chance of playing in the competition with a victory.
The likes of Manchester City, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa are all fighting for a place in Europe’s elite competition
Cundy said on talkSPORT, “Who do you start up top? Tyrique George started [in the recent 1-0 Premier League win] against Manchester United, and I felt a bit sorry for him.
I thought the game was too big for him. Personally, I will go for Palmer.”
Chelsea are lacking firepower upfront with Nicolas Jackson suspended and Christopher Nkunku still nursing a knock.
George, who is primarily a winger, played the against Manchester United as a striker and lasted 81 minutes on the pitch.
