
Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi on Sunday etched himself in the history books as the first Nigerian player to appear in all 38 matchdays in the Premier League for two seasons.
The former Arsenal player first achieved the feat in the 2022/23 season.
Iwobi replaced Harry Wilson in the 61st minute of Fulham’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
It was his 38th appearance of the 2024/25 season.
The 29-year-old contributed nine goals and six assists during the campaign.
Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo (2006/07), Victor Moses (2011/12), and Wilfred Ndidi are the other Nigerians on the exclusive list.
