Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has backed captain Bruno Fernandes to stay at the club despite interest from the Saudi Pro League.
According to Amorim, Manchester United are making many changes ahead of next season, and Fernandes loves the Red Devils.
The Portugal midfielder has attracted strong interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Al-Hilal remain optimistic and are hoping to bring Fernandes to Saudi Arabia.
They have also demanded that Fernandes reach a decision over a huge £200 million move before the end of this month.
However, speaking about the development ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League final day match with Aston Villa on Sunday, Amorim expressed confidence that his fellow countryman will want to stay at Old Trafford beyond this summer transfer window.
“It is important for Bruno [Fernandes] to see that we’re changing a lot of things in our club,” Amorim told TNT Sports about the interest from the Saudi league.
“The behaviour, everyday organisation, pace of training… and then he will want to stay at this club. He loves this club.”
Fernandes, 30, joined United from Portuguese side Sporting CP in 2020.
