Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, has been warned that new manager, Ruben Amorim, might not like his free-roaming approach on the field.
Amorim, a 39-year-old former Sporting CP boss, took the reins of Old Trafford on November 11, just weeks after Erik ten Hag was sacked.
Fernandes has established himself as a key player for Manchester United and is currently their club captain.
The Portugal midfielder has played 250 games for the Red Devils, scoring 83 goals and 73 assists.
The 30-year-old will likely be a focal point in Amorim’s plans.
Speaking on the On The Continent podcast, Portuguese journalist Miguel Pereira warned the midfielder, saying, “[There is] a question mark of where Bruno Fernandes will play.
“He is so massively important to the team. Sometimes, he likes to be all around the pitch and that is not the kind of player Amorim likes.
“He (Amorim) likes players to be disciplined, to be in the positions they need to be…”.
