Five first-team players set to leave Manchester United

Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia, and Jadon Sancho informed Manchester United that they want to leave the club.

There are reports that Manchester United have delayed their return date until later in July to allow them time to explore their exit from the club. The rest of the squad will begin reporting back on Monday, July 7, 2025, for their pre-season ahead of the 2025/26 football season.

The news was confirmed on the official social media accounts of Fabrizio Romano on Friday, July 4, 2025. However, if their future are not resolved during this period, they will return to Carrington, where they will continue to have full access to medical and training support.

In the turn of events, Mathues Cunha will be given the No. 10 shirt, which is Rashford's shirt number. The forward's representatives were informed of the decision in advance.

Rashford has been linked to some top clubs in Europe but he is keen on joining Barcelona. There are also reports that he could remain in the Premier League but there is nothing official yet from all the parties involved.
