Former allies, Omojuwa and Bashir El-Rufai drag each other following El-Rufais defection from APC

Former allies, Japhet Omojuwa and Bashir, are slamming each other on social media after Bashir's father, Nasir El-Rufai defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Omojuwa, a social and political commentator, has been a long-term supporter of El-Rufai until the former governor parted ways with the APC. Subsequently, Omojuwa switched loyalty to Uba Sani, El-Rufais successor and current political foe.  Bashir took to X to throw shade at Omojuwa after he began showing his support for Sani. Bashir hinted, without calling names, that his family gave Omojuwa his first iPad. He said: I knew we should never have dashed this individual an iPad when he used to wait at our gatehouse desperately seeking an audience. Now we have created a hypocritical and duplicitous monster.  In reaction, Omojuwa said he would be donating eight iPads to some of his supporters. He said: I will be donating 8 iPads to 8 of my followers. Can you guess why 8 iPads? Lol. Next week, by Gods grace, I will pick 8 of my followers to hand 1 iPad each. May be even more. But lets start with 8. Its a significant number. PS: I will never taunt you for this, now or in 2039. Our family isnt that way. Actually, most families arent that way, so this doesnt make my family special lol. Na people wey get poverty and narcissistic mentality dey do that kain thing. Its a gift.
