
Chicago rapper Mello Buckzz is in mourning following a tragic drive-by shooting that claimed the lives of her boyfriend and three close friends during her album release party on Wednesday night. The violent attack occurred shortly after 11 PM outside Artis Lounge nightclub, located in the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue. According to Chicago police, an unidentified assailant opened fire on a crowd gathered outside the venue, killing four people and injuring 14 others before fleeing the scene.

Shocking video footage circulating on social media shows a vehicle passing moments before the gunfire erupted. The sound of multiple shots can be heard in the clip, underscoring the suddenness and severity of the attack. Of those wounded, three women remain in critical condition. Authorities identified a 24-year-old woman who was shot in the back, a 25-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the leg, and a 21-year-old woman who sustained a bullet wound to the mouth. No arrests have been made, and police confirmed the investigation is ongoing.

In the wake of the shooting, Mello Buckzz took to Instagram to share her grief and disbelief. She posted emotional tributes to her late boyfriend and friends, writing about the quiet life she shared with her partner and recounting holding his hand for the last time. The rapper also paid tribute to two of her female friends, affectionately referred to as TayyTayy and @avi_gorgeous. "My heart broke into so many pieces," she wrote, expressing the depth of her sorrow.
