The Governing Council of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), has officially unveiled Professor Francis Aba Uba as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Nigeria’s premier university of health sciences.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Prof. Uba, a renowned academic and pediatric surgeon, is affiliated with the University of Jos, Plateau State.
He hails from Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State and belongs to the Idoma ethnic group.
An accomplished clinician and scholar, Prof. Uba specializes in managing complex surgical conditions in children.
He brings with him a wealth of experience and a robust academic profile, with 87 peer-reviewed publications and over 1,100 citations.
