Governor Abdullahi Sule has approved a request for employment from popular Nasarawa-based comedian and event host, MC Kure Cfr, at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, NSUK.
The governor made the promise during the wedding reception of Mr. Joseph Yakubu, the younger brother of the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Yakubu Kwanta, held at the Akwanga Youth Center over the weekend.
MC Kure, who served as the master of ceremonies at the high-profile event, took the opportunity to lament his prolonged unemployment despite being a graduate.
In a heartfelt appeal, he requested the governor’s help in securing a position at the state-owned university.
Governor Sule responded positively on the spot, pledging to facilitate Kure’s employment, a gesture that drew thunderous applause from the guests, which included notable dignitaries such as former Governor and Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and Rep. Jeremiah Umaru.
In the aftermath of the event, well-known photographer and content creator Charlzee Eze praised MC Kure for his strategic thinking.
“While other comedians meet Governor Sule, crack jokes, and walk away with cash, MC Kure did something different,” Eze remarked. “He made the governor laugh, then smartly asked for a job, specifying the institution. Governor Sule didn’t hesitate. That’s wisdom in action.”
The development has sparked admiration across social media, with many hailing MC Kure’s boldness and foresight as a model for young talents seeking sustainable opportunities.
