
Newly appointed president of the West African Football Union, WAFU, Zone B Ibrahim Gusau has officially assume office.
Gusau, who is also the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, met staff on resumption of duties at the headquarters of the union in Cocody, Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
The football administrator was recently saddled with the responsibility of managing the affairs of WAFU B following the resignation of Kurt-Edwin Simeon Okraku.
Okraku, the president of Ghana Football Association,GFA, left the post after he was elected into the Confederation of African Football, CAF, executive committee.
Gusau will supervise the inaugural WAFU B U-20 Cup of Nations will be hosted by Ghana.
The seven-nation tournament will start next week Thursday in Accra.
