Hansi Flick names his goalkeeper choice for Inter Milan clash

The head coach of Barcelona Hansi Flick has cleared the air about who will be his goalkeeper when they face Inter Milan in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League.

Hansi Flick confirmed that Szczesny will start for Barcelona while speaking in pre-match press conference . According to him, there is no debate about his goalkeeper option between Wojciech Szczesny and Marc-André ter Stegen.

The German who has been indifferent in the past has now made a decision, and confirmed that while there’s a chance Ter Stegen could return to the team sometime before the end of the La Liga season, he won’t be taking part in the Champions League.

He said,

"Tek will play in the Champions League. Maybe we can change things in La Liga one day, but that’s for the future. Now Tek will play in the Champions League.”

He also confirmed his strategy for the semi-final, and hinted at some possible tactical changes given Inter’s unique 3-5-2 formation and their ability to counter-attack.

Barcelona are still on course on winning a treble this season after they secured the Copa del Rey. They currently lead Real Madrid with four points on the Spanish La Liga table and also have been tagged as one of the favourites to win the UEFA Champions League.
