Former England international, John Fashanu has expressed his desire to coach the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Fashanu, a former Aston Villa and Norwich City striker, believes he has what it takes to tinker the three-time African champions.

“I want to be the manager of the Eagles, that’s one of the hardest jobs in this country. But I’m saying I can do it and I can do it with the right people, the people who understand the game of football,” he told journalists in Ogun State in a video posted on X.

The 62-year-old was born in England to a Nigerian father and British mother.

He represented the Three Lions of England twice.

Fashanu once contested for the post of president of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

Malian Eric Chelle is currently in charge of the Super Eagles.
