Nigerian singer Rema has said he’s not open to having children out of wedlock.
He also said he abhors promiscuity, stressing that he’s an intentional man.
Rema made history as the first Black African star to cover RollingStone magazine.
“I feel like there’s a need for us [family] to get bigger and become a whole empire if we can. And then neither do I want to wait for it to become a mistake before I decide to be a father. I’m very particular and I don’t really be h*eing around,” he said.
Rema also spoke about his relationship with Ayra Starr and South African Tyla.
“Ayra’s family, for sure. Tyla’s family. We’re good friends because I’ve been friends with Tyla even before everything.”
Meanwhile, American singer and actress Selena Gomez has expressed her admiration for Rema.
In a chat with Rolling Stone, Gomez said she’s “completely impressed” with Rema as an artist.
“I am completely impressed with Rema as an artist. I believe the future for him is truly endless of what he can achieve. I was a fan of the song [‘Calm Down’] even before I jumped onto the remix. What really stands out for me is how the song continued to grow even a year after it was first released,” she said.
