The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested a Nigerian man, Ayodeji Olamide Ajayi, who was convicted of multiple offences. ICE announced this in a statement on X on Monday, June 22, 2026, saying Ajayi will be leaving the United States shortly. Ajayi, whose criminal record include r@pe, kidnapping, trespassing, intimidation, and obstruction, now faces deportation back to Nigeria. According to a 2024 report, the Hamilton County Sheriffs Office Criminal Warrants Unit in Tennessee, conducted a manhunt for Ajayi, who was wanted in an aggravated r@pe case.  Ajayi, was eventually located and arrested in Bradley County.  HCSO detectives told the suspect on a phone call to surrender; however, Ajayi said he would not surrender, that he had a gun, and that he was going to act in a way that would force law enforcement to k!ll him. After a lengthy standoff, detectives were able to maintain contact with Ajayi and persuaded him to peacefully surrender. He had a toy BB pistol, not a real pistol, as he claimed.  HCSO says Ajayi had several active felony warrants and was being charged with four counts of aggravated r@pe, one count of @pe, aggravated burglary, s3xual battery, aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault. According to ICE, Ajayi remained in the country illegally after entering on a student visa in 2007.  "Ayodeji Olamide Ajayi, of Nigeria, entered the United States in 2007 on a student visa and eventually left school, but failed to leave the country, ICE stated. "Instead, he stayed in the U.S. and got to work on a lengthy rap sheet that includes convictions such as domestic violence, trespassing, intimidation, and obstruction. "His criminal history also includes these egregious charges: kidnapping, r@pe and family neglect. Thanks to @POTUS commitment to getting criminal illegal aliens out of this country, Ajayi will be leaving the United States shortly. The post ICE arrests Nigerian man convicted of r@pe, domestic violence and kidnapping in US, faces deportation appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
