Super Eagles of Nigeria legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha has shared his thoughts on the long-lasting debate involving two of the greatest players in the history of football Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in a recent interview.

The Ronaldo vs Messi debate has continued to be a long-standing debate in the history of football, with both stars playing on the biggest of stages and at the highest of levels, football critics, analysts and also players have often times shared their thoughts on who their preferred option is whilst stating the reason for their choice.

One of such stars to share their thoughts is the popular Nigerian footballer, Austin Jay Jay Okocha who picked Lionel Messi as his preferred option for the spot of the Greatest Of All Time. In an exclusive interview with Pulse, Okocha stated, “They are both G.O.A.Ts, by the way. But my personal G.O.A.T is Messi. Because he looks more natural to me.”

In an appearance on Pulse's Fun Facts show, where celebrities share intriguing details about their personalities, former Bolton star Jay-Jay Okocha was asked a variety of questions, both football-related and non-football-related. He gave his thoughts on topics like an overrated Nigerian dish and was also asked to select a five-a-side team made up of players he’s played alongside.

When asked to weigh in on the Messi vs. Ronaldo GOAT debate, Okocha initially gave a balanced response, acknowledging the greatness of both players. However, he ultimately revealed that he preferred the Argentine, Lionel Messi, over Cristiano Ronaldo.
