Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich has decided to sign a four-year contract extension with the Bavarians which will keep him at the club until 2029.
The contract of the German international was initially due at the end of the 2025/26 season as he was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal. Joshua Kimmich has been a key part of Bayern Munich since Vincnet Kompany joined the club at the beginning of this season.
"At FC Bayern I have the best environment to achieve my sporting goals. That is what my decision. For me at the moment, there is no better package of team-mates, coaching staff and club environment in order to achieve maximum success. I feel at home here and I am not finished yet."
Kimmich is the latest player at the club to commit his future to Bayern Munich this year, with Manuel Neuer, Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies also extending their stays.
Bayern are top of the Bundesliga ahead of defending champions Bayer Leverkusen and they will face Inter Milan in the Champions League quarter-finals with the hope that they will play in the final which is set to take place in Munich in May.
