Kano govt approves salary increment for tertiary institutions’ staff

The State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya hinted this while briefing journalists on the outcome of the 25th Executive Council meeting. Waiya said the Council approved significant policy decisions aimed at improving governance and public welfare. According to him, "one of the key decisions is the salary increment for academic and non-academic staff in all tertiary institutions across the state, with academic staff receiving a 25 per cent increase and non-academic staff benefiting from a 35 per cent increase.
