Mayorkun credits Davido for helping secure his Sony Music Africa deal

Popular Nigerian singer, Mayorkun, has acknowledged the role of Davido in helping him secure his record deal with Sony Music Africa.

The Certified Loner hitmaker, who was previously signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) from 2016 to 2021, addressed lingering speculations about their relationship following his exit from the label. While many assumed there was tension between the two artists, Mayorkun has now set the record straight.

In a recent interview with 3Music TV, Mayorkun revealed that Davido was actively involved in facilitating his move to Sony Music Africa.

“Aside from having my label, right now I am also with Sony Africa. Shout out to Davido for that as well, he facilitated the deal,” Mayorkun shared.

The revelation has since drawn praise from fans, applauding the continued bond between the two artists despite Mayorkun’s departure from DMW.
