The songstress accuses the popular radio station and its sister brand of attempting to frustrate her career.
Nigerian ace singer, songwriter, and performer Yemi Alade has taken to social media to call out renowned Nigerian radio station Cool FM and its sister brand, Clout Africa.
The award-winning powerhouse, who recently earned a Grammy nomination in the Best African Music Performance category for her song 'Tomorrow'—competing with heavyweights like Asake, Chris Brown, Burna Boy, and Tems—shared details of a simmering dispute on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
In a series of tweets, Yemi Alade alleged that both stations have banned her songs from airing for an entire year. The fallout reportedly stems from her inability to attend an event organised by the station. Despite apologizing for the situation, her efforts were allegedly ignored.

Taking her frustrations further, Yemi requested that the stations remove her entire catalogue from their platforms. Some of her posts read:
"Take down my whole catalog from your stations @CoolFMNigeria and @cloutafrica .... God go still give me food. You're beefing an artist for 1 full year, over your event. I didn't go, too. I apologized and even called your oga him dey form oga no even reply my text.
My God will fight for me, and I will hold my peace. Since December 2023 ... I personally reached out in January..... still, you are refusing to play my music and give my team a hard time. YOU'RE NOT GATE KEEPERS, and YOU ARE NOT GOD Mr Serge Noujaim and Mr Joseph Adamu .... MY GOD WILL FUSTRATE YOU ALL"
