
The House of Representatives has declared that Nigeria is transitioning from potential to performance under the current administration.
Deputy Speaker of the House, Benjamin Kalu stated this after he unveiled the House’s 8-pillar Legislative Agenda which he said aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola.
Speaking at the inaugural National Policy Dialogue on the Legislative Agenda held in Abuja, Kalu said, “the event remains a critical platform for policy engagement put together by legislators, policymakers, academics, civil society, and development partners to identify the nation’s priority for legislative debate.”
He lauded President Tinubu for his transformative and visionary leadership which is gradually ocassioning reforms in fiscal restructuring and security.
According to Kalu, “the reform would eventually lay a resilient foundation for national prosperity.”
The lawmaker noted that the Tajudeen Abbas-led 10th House of Representatives had since its inauguration on 13th June, 2023 considered 1,059 bills across key sectors to support the vision of the administration.
He presented the House’s Legislative Agenda 2.0, a comprehensive framework structured into eight thematic pillars, crafted to align with the administration’s national development goals.
