2. Suspected herdsmen have killed thirteen people in Azege settlement, Mbaya, Tombo Ward, Logo Local Government Area, Benue State. The attack, which occurred on Sunday morning around 7 a.m, led to numerous deaths, arson, and the destruction of farmlands and crops.
3. There are indications that the Presidency has intensified lobbying the National Assembly to pass the tax reform bills. It was gathered that the leadership of the House of Representatives has invited caucus leaders of the House for a crucial meeting aimed at convincing lawmakers to back the bills.
4. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged President Bola Tinubu to direct the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Mr Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and appropriate anti-corruption agencies to probe the allegedly over N57 billion of public funds “missing, diverted or stolen” in the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in 2021.
5. Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has constituted a 14-man State Assets Verification Committee to probe the eight years tenure of his predecessor, Godwin Obaseki. The panel headed by the retired Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, would be inaugurated on November 26, 2024.

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Sunday said there was no way the private plane of privileged Nigerians, including the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Bible Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, can leave the country directly from their airstrips without first securing clearance from relevant authorities.
7. The Senate has stated that President Bola Tinubu will likely present the 2025 budget this week. According to the Senate spokesperson, Yemi Adaramodu ( APC, Ekiti South), the Finance Committee will meet with the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies on Monday.
8. No fewer than six workers of the Ebonyi State Ministry of Health have been arrested for the alleged theft of government property. It was learnt they were intercepted and arrested at the ministry’s premises on Saturday night while trying to move the said items to points of sale. The arrest was revealed in a statement in Abakaliki, on Sunday, by Governor Francis Nwifuru’s Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor.
9. Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Enforcement unit, also known as the Lagos Task Force, have impounded no fewer than 128 motorcycles in multiple operations across various parts of the state. The operations were part of the agency’s efforts to clamp down on illegal operation of commercial motorcycles across restricted areas in the state.
10. The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted sunshine and dust haze from Monday to Wednesday across the nation. NiMet`s weather outlook released on Sunday in Abuja predicted slight dust haze on Monday in the northern region with localised visibility of 2Km to 5Km over the region throughout the forecast period.
