Lobi Stars head coach, Mika Lönnström, refused to blame his players following Wednesday’s 3-0 defeat to Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
It was the Makurdi’s club heaviest defeat since Lönnström’s arrival at the club.
Holders, Rangers dominated the game with Lobi Stars failing to impress on the road again.
The Finnish, however, believed his players will emerge stronger from the setback.
“Our young players are adapting to our playing pattern,” he told the club’s media after the game.
“It’s a process, and they’re responding well in training.
“Unfortunately, today’s result didn’t reflect their effort, but we’ll keep pushing.”
Lobi Stars will host Kwara United in their next league game.
