NPFL: Rangers dismiss General Manager, Ezeaku’s exit rumours

Rangers have debunked rumours their General Manager, Amobi Ezeaku is on the verge of leaving the club.

Speculation emerged last week that Ezeaku is considering stepping down from the role.

Media director of the Flying Antelopes, Nobert Okolie, however, claimed there is no truth in the report.

“There’s no truth whatsoever in that speculation,” Okolie said, with firm confidence.

“Our GM has spoken to no one about whether he is stepping down. And nobody – not even from the government that owns and funds the team – has at any time raised questions about the GM’s future with the club.”

Ezeaku rose from the position of Team Manager to become Rangers’ General Manager in 2023.

The young administrator masterminded Rangers’ eighth Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, title success last season.

Rangers will face Kwara United in the semi-final of the President Federation Cup at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Saturday.
