Nursing student found murd£red in her room in Imo State is identified

The nursing student who was found with her throat slit in her room in Imo State has been identified. Wendy Achumba, a female student of the College of Nursing, Umuadara Umulogho, was found murdred on Thursday, May 21, in her off-campus lodge in Umulogho in the Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State.  Neighbours became worried when she neither came out of her room nor responded to repeated calls. The neighbours then forced their way into her room after several unsuccessful attempts to reach her, only to discover her lifeless body with her head nearly decapitated. The door to the room was still firmly locked with the key, a source told Punch.  Meanwhile, the victims mobile phone was nowhere to be found. Sources in the community said the victim, who hailed from Ngwa in Abia State, had completed her midwifery programme and was undergoing post-basic training at the institution.  Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Imo State Police Command, DSP Henry Okoye, said investigations had commenced into the k!lling. The Command is aware of the tragic incident involving the dath of a female student of the College of Nursing, Umulogho, whose body was discovered in her private off-campus apartment, Okoye said. Following the report, the DPO and operatives promptly visited the scene for an on-the-spot assessment, after which the body was recovered and deposited in the morgue, while investigations have commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and arrest those responsible. The post Nursing student found murdred in her room in Imo State is identified appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
