Super Falcons forward, Gift Monday has been included in the NWSL Team of the Week, DAILY POST reports.
Monday was recognised for her impressive display in Washington Spirit’s 1-0 victory over Orlando Pride last weekend.
The 23-year-old scored the decisive goal for Spirit in the keenly contested encounter.
It was the striker’s maiden goal for her new club.
Monday slotted the ball home in the 63rd minute following an error from Orlando Pride goalkeeper Anna Moorehouse.
Her teammates Aubrey Kingsbury, Tara McKeown, and Riley Bernal were also included in the selection.
